ON OPEN GOVERNMENT
The
Committee on Open Government
announces a new educational video in
the spirit of Sunshine Week (March
16-22). Sunshine week is a national
effort led by the American Society
of Newspaper Editors that focuses on
federal and state Freedom of
Information Law issues. The
Cmmittee on Open Government, housed
in the Department of State and
created in 1974 as part of the
Freedom of Information Law (“FOIL”),
serves as an impartial source of
guidance and expertise for the
government and the public on FOIL,
Open Meetings and Personal Privacy
Protection Laws.
